Anyone know if python can be used to make a MATLAB simulink clone (dragging and dropping elements)? If not, do you have recommendations of other languages that can do this best to make a desktop app?
Thanks for the clarification. The search term you’re looking for is along the lines of “node graph ui”. ReactFlow is the one I know of, but that’s JS. If you need python, a quick search pointed me to NodeGraphQt. Looks like there’s also a number of other options listed on a previous post to this subreddit

Banks in Librarian app.
There's a Qt-friendly graph library that might be useful if you were thinking of taking the visual approach: NodeGraphQt. Looks pretty slick, too.

Zoia external display output hack, possible?
There’s the ZOIA Librarian app for managing and viewing patches, the design part is being worked on (slowly): https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib

maybe it's just me..
I helped develop a librarian app for managing, downloading, viewing, and organizing patches - see here: https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib. There’s also a sticky thread at the top of the subreddit with details.

New user: downloaded patch numbering
Rather than renumbering these patches by hand, however, I would recommend downloading the ZOIA Librarian app (the development of which was led by u/meanmedianmoge), once you have your computer back: https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib

Noob question about ZOIA experience
Currently there is a patch visualizer (similar to what you’d see on ZOIA’s grid) and expander (blown up, schematic view) within this application - https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib :)

Version 1.1 update of the ZOIA Librarian app is now available!
A major update of the ZOIA Librarian is here - Version 1.1 is now out! It can be downloaded at https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib/releases. See the repository Readme for more information.

Patches Not Producing Output
Have you tried using the librarian app to renumber them? (https://github.com/meanmedianmoge/zoia_lib) It's possible there's some syntax issue; I'm really not sure. (I generally use the librarian for renumbering, because it's very easy for my simple mind to click and drag things.)
