There's nothing officially documented, but people have made some strides to reverse engineer how the companion app works and can pull some data from it.

I do my Discord Rich Presence through that program for Switch actually. Fully automated after setup. So if i start a game it'll automatically display on Discord too, same if closing the game or switching to another one. Needs a pc obviously though. https://github.com/MCMi460/NSO-RPC

Not sure how to compile, exactly, since I've never used Linux before. I know for a fact that Python is on Linux, so you can always just run cli.py or app.py. (That's command line vs GUI)
