- Do you have a goto guide/list for modules for Foundry?
- Are there any up-to-date 'Best 5e mods to install for Foundry' posts/blogs/resources?

[5e] What are your favourite modules?
You are welcome. I also recommend checking out NateHawk85's list here. I'm not sure how updated it is, but it has a lot more detail for each module.

Your Must Have Modules?
For what it's worth, I have a recently-updated version of my group's modules that we use here: https://github.com/NateHawk85/Nathans-DnD5e-Foundry-Modules
- What's your FoundryVTT setup like?

What are some recommended modules?
Hey that's me, Bryan! I haven't been able to keep my list up to date as I've been a player and I'm no longer actively DM'ing. I have fallen in love with this repo and window shop modules for some future build I'll do. Give it a look https://github.com/NateHawk85/Nathans-DnD5e-Foundry-Modules

5e automation?
Yes, it can do all those things. Midi-qol is the main module. https://github.com/NateHawk85/Nathans-DnD5e-Foundry-Modules

Giving FoundryVTT a Fresh Install on a New Machine; Looking For Your Advanced Advice on Keeping the Directory and File Paths Clean and Streamlined
I wanted to let you know that NateHawk has a great guide for modules.

Where to go to get actual macro help?
For some additional macro references, I have a GitHub here (https://github.com/NateHawk85/Nathans-DnD5e-Foundry-Modules) with a "Macros" folder that contains various examples of some things that may be useful for you. https://github.com/foundry-vtt-community/macros is another great reference, as well as just looking at any modules that have macros included. Additionally, the Mozilla JavaScript docs (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript) will be a great place to look for JavaScript-specific code snippets and questions.

Absalom Map Folio for use in Foundry?
Any images you see in a PDF can be pulled out and saved separately. This can be done either with standalone PDF tools on your computer, or through PDF import plugins directly in Foundry. Something like PDF To Foundry can import the maps as well as any journal notes or creatures.

-
Strength of Thousands on Foundry?
the module pdf to foundry (pf2e) can import the (original) pdf modules into foundry with walls, lighting and such - the journal notes import is a bit messy as it doesent split them into sub folders so everything is in a single big folder but that's easy to fix.

Issue importing maps with PDF to Foundry (minor map spoilers Abom Vaults 1)
fryguy often hangs out in the Pathfinder2 channel on the Foundry Discord, but you can also report the issue on the gitlab. There appears to already be an issue regarding "the 4th map (high quality) in AV#1" where fryguy notes that there is apparently an updated release by Paizo, so if you haven't downloaded the latest version of the PDF, that might be the issue here (even if it is a different map, it might still be impacted by tis issue).

Virtual tabletop
Running Organized Play? Or an Adventure Path? Thanks to FryGuy, that can easily be imported using a module (https://gitlab.com/fryguy1013/pdftofoundry).
What are some alternatives?
foundryvtt-drag-ruler - A Foundry VTT module that shows a ruler when dragging tokens so you can see how far you've dragged them
foundry-pathbuilder2e-import - A module for Foundry VTT importing Pathbuilder 2e characters.
Bryans-Preferred-Modules-for-FoundryVTT - My personally cultivated list of FoundryVTT Modules for Dungeons and Dragons 5e and Pathfinder 2e that play nicely together without creating an overwhelming amount of UI options or causing noticeable FPS drops.
foundry-pathbuilder2e-import - A module for Foundry VTT importing Pathbuilder 2e characters.
Eigengrau-s-Essential-Establishment-Generator - A town generator that is suitable for out of the box play in any fantasy TTRPG setting.
pf2e-magaambya - Discord: @vauxs
ddb-importer - Integrate your dndbeyond.com content into Foundry virtual tabletop
TokenTool - TokenTool removes much of the tedium from creating tokens for use with MapTool or your favorite online gaming application. Just drag an image into the background, select a frame, zoom and pan to suit, and drag off a finished token. The resulting token is transparent around the edges and cropped to the size you wanted.
