Save editor

Firstly, try to load an older save. Should that fail to fix the problem, get the Save File Editor. With it you can load up your file and change the starship type to Interceptor. If that doesn't work then nothing will, but keep the editor anyhow. With it you can revert the data by keeping a backup of the seed number for your ships so you can change it back anytime you want. I saved a freighter of mine from being completely overwritten during an expidition(it changed name, type, color scheme, AND internal layout but I managed to save it) by using it. So in short, you should understand how a CPU (the simpler the better, for example the Z80 ) and computer architecture works (again, trying to do it with the simplest architecture that you can), then how does a programming language works and how it is compiled into CPU code and so on, if you want complexity you can find it the difficult thing is finding the simple enough sources that make understanding the basis feasible. It's not as simple as reading the wiki page, it's not easy to get all that in the head, the best way to learn is by doing and it will take time, so patience.
