I found an old G25/29 shifter and i dont want to spend 40 bucks on a bodnar adapter as i dont even know if the shifter works. will this cheapo work?

I designed some open source Logitech shifter/pedal adapters
The G27 shifter uses shift registers to send the button presses to the wheelbase, so they only use three additional pins. You can check out the library by RamjetX for an example how to handle those. He has also linked a very old thread with the G25 shifter pinout, but be aware that pin 1 and pin 7 are swapped for the G27 shifter compared to the G25, see the GitHub by chrisjansson.
