You've got SDA wired to A4 on the arduino and SCL wired to A5? What code are you using, the Hello World example?

I2c LCD randomly corrupted
You define screen twice, once in setup() and once in loop(). Defining it in loop() means you create and initialize the LCD very rapidly, many times per second. If you are using this library then look at this example code to see how to use the library.

I2C OLED display does not work with my Wemos D1 Mini
The thingpulse driver on the other hand does not appear to use any of SPI.h or OLED_RESET in their I2C implementation.
- OLED display code works with Arduino Uno but not NodeMCU 1.0 (ESP8266MOD)
- I2C LCD screen works in setup, not in loop().
