A while ago, I tried to cutomize a Novation Launchpad but couldn’t find coherent docs or an intro.
Some people have mastered it, as witnessed by this great extension [1]. But that’s example code, not a documentation.

Can someone tell if this Launchpad still worth it
I've had this same model for years and it's my most used controller. For a time, I was using it with the Launchpad95 script for added functionality, but these days, I pretty much just use the standard note mode.

Grab an old launchpad and use the free group of scripts called Launchpad95. Old Launchpads can be had for as little as 50 usd.

I use my LPX on ableton 10, though I use the custom control script launchpad 95

Jamming along to my Pi-based WIP sequencer

Proof of concept. The sequencer lives! Programmed this beat using the hardware I've built. Higher quality video with build timelapses and info coming in a week or two.
If you are interested, you can view my code on GitHub. I don't know if it's good or elegant code, I've never done a project of this size before, but it's definitely functional. I also have an introductory video over on YouTube, and will be uploading a second video showing this progress (and some more) Soon™.
