The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Client-side-validation Foundation Library v0.5 is released
This version for the first time represents reference implementation for R1 version of client-side-validation standards, organized in separate sublibraries/rust crates: - 📦 Strict encoding (LNPBP-7 and LNPBP-42 standards): binary standard of encoding client-side-validated data and network addresses. - 📦 Commit-verify client-side-validation-specific APIs, including * consensus commitments (part of LNPBP-8 standard) * multi-commitments (LNPBP-4 standard) * merklization for client-side-validation (LNPBP-81 standard) - 📦 Single-use-seals API (LNPBP-8 standard) - 📦 Client-side-validation API from the library root, linking those components together according to LNPBP-9 standard.

LNP Node demo tomorrow
Hey guys! Tomorrow during our #LnpBp dev call u/dr_orlovsky will give the second part of demonstrating the #LNPNode- our #LightningNetwork node written in #Rust 🦀 and used for #Bifrost - Generalised #LightningNetwork protocol. We will continue discovering how the node works, its anatomy, and of course - live performance on #Bitcoin mainnet.

RGB : Smart contracts for Bitcoin and the Lightning network (very excited for this)
RGB is not a proposal, it's a protocol that runs as L2 and/or L3 solution on top of Bitcoin/LN. No, it will not require any changes (aka soft/hard forks) into existing protocols. It also has nodes implementations of its own written in Rust: BP Node for Bitcoin and LNP Node for Lightning.

Farcaster: Community update March
The Farcaster Core is used on the Farcaster Node. Yes, we started work on the node! Farcaster Node is a fork from lnp-node. So far, we've been busy with the necessary modifications and clean-up to transform a payment channel node (lnp) into a swap node (farcaster), such as integrating the swap protocol and other messages into the node's APIs.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing LNPBPs and lnp-node you can also consider the following projects:
