What about LMDS, it is develop for Raspberry pi but you can also deploy it on any PC with Ubuntu. The key word would be Docker containers and soft links to your folder structure on Ubuntu NAS. I hope that's helps.

What are your top self hosted services that you are very satisfied with ?
You might want to look into Mylar3 and/or threetwo. I've only tried Mylar3 myself, and I believe it did download a comic or two, but based on some other comments in this thread, it sounds like it's hit or miss for reliability.
