  • Video Player with OpenSubtitles support?
    1 project | /r/software | 23 Mar 2021
Try LLG-MP! It has a nice OpenSubtitles integration. Go to Search at the top, click on Subtitles, then search for your favorite movie or TV show episode. Then click Download. Wait a bit, then it should show you a list of all relevant subtitles. Click on your favorite, and play the video. It should show the subtitles too! Not too big on customization yet, but it can basically play these subtitles with a cool OpenSubtitles integration right out of the box.

I do offer a Python library (https://github.com/kaplanPRO/kaplanpy) for most CAT functions. It is distributed under the MIT License, so feel free to use it however you like. It's still a work in progress and as I am the only one using it (I use the library to build Kaplan Desktop, a free desktop app for Windows and Linux) I haven't really gotten around to documenting it. You could build a command line tool using kaplanpy, if you wanted to.
