Single GPU Passthrough Stuck in D3
These are the two main resources I used to guide me: https://github.com/joeknock90/Single-GPU-Passthrough https://github.com/ledisthebest/LEDs-single-gpu-passthrough. After I completed all the steps required I am able to start the VM but my screen turns black and I get the following output on /var/log/libvirt/qemu/win10.log

I can turn on and shutdown the VM with no apparent errors, but while it's running the screen is completely black
I was mainly following this guide to setup the VM and scripts: https://gitlab.com/Karuri/vfio

Black display after shutting down Windows 10 guest
I've successfully set up single GPU passthrough as per https://gitlab.com/Karuri/vfio and https://github.com/joeknock90/Single-GPU-Passthrough .

GTX 670 single GPU passthrough to OSX Mojave guest (natively supported)
great thanks for the tip! havnt checked the logs for libvirt as i thought it was an osx issue. im using manjaro host, and have originally installed the vm using this https://github.com/foxlet/macOS-Simple-KVM, and this for the passthrough https://gitlab.com/Karuri/vfio

Trying to set up GPU passthrough for my RX 580
I used to have an RX580-based single GPU passthrough setup. You likely need the vendor reset module, since hot-plugging Polaris 10 GPUs is a bit buggy and can cause GPU lockups. It might also be worth dumping your GPU bios and configuring libvirt to use it so you get a visible boot screen (tool). I think I mostly followed this guide, however it hasn't been updated in quite a while it seems.
- Can someone send me a good tutorial on how to use vfio with a windows vm?I have a vega 7 igpu and a gtx 1060 btw

If you're up to the task you can follow this guide to get it working.

Help CPU pinning ryzen 7 5700g
vfio-single-gpu-passthrough (this is for single gpu system, I link it for the section regarding hugepages, isolation, pinning & cpu governor which massively improved performance. It use script to dynamically run these only when you start a vm, so you can still use all of your cores when you stop the vm)
What are some alternatives?

vfio-void-linux - My libvirt/vfio config with GPU, NIC and NVME passthrough. Void Linux host, Win 11 guest (and other VMs)
vendor-reset - Linux kernel vendor specific hardware reset module for sequences that are too complex/complicated to land in pci_quirks.c
macOS-KVM - Streamlined macOS QEMU KVM Hackintosh configuration using OpenCore and libvirt
vfio - A script for easy pci and usb passthrough along with disks, iso's and other useful flags for quick tinkering with less of a headache. I use it for VM gaming and other PCI/LiveCD/PXE/VM/RawImage testing given the script's accessibility.
