Live Wallpaper Software Needed
You can try to compile it. I tested this on Budgie. Open the terminal and run the following commands: sudo eopkg up to make sure you are updated. sudo eopkg it -c system.devel sudo eopkg it git clutter-gst-devel clutter-gtk-devel libgee-devel libwebkit-gtk-devel vala git clone https://github.com/Komorebi-Fork/komorebi.git cd komorebi meson build --prefix=/usr cd build && meson compile sudo meson install

Persona 5 themed Thinkpad with Linux.
It's not a tilling manager per se, actually; it's GNOME 3.38 with the pop-shell extension—the same window tilling software you'd be using with Pop OS. If you're running Arch, you can get it from the AUR. For the wallpaper, I'm using komorebi. I think it's made for GNOME but I've never tried it myself with another desktop envirotment or window manager. You can also get this one from the AUR.

ST transparency without composite manager
Is there any way to get transparent st terminals without using a composite manager like the alpha patch requires? I've found a tool to set gifs as backgrounds (https://github.com/glouw/paperview) but it can't run while a composite manager is running as they both try to write to the root X11 window and so when I use it I can't see the animated background through st which defeats the point.

Can you ran wallpaper engine on linux?
No, wallpaper engine doesn't work on linux and as far as i know they don't have plans for a linux version. As for the alternative, there is this https://github.com/glouw/paperview but i haven't used it so i don't know how good it works.

Any way to set a video wallpaper?
There is also paperview (although not in the void repo) that uses BMP files from a folder to display an animated background. (Converting a video to BMP images can be done with ffmpeg.)
