  • Provisional Reworked Liberian Focus Tree
    1 project | /r/Kaiserreich | 13 May 2021
R5:Image made with the hoi4treesnap tool. Showcased is the focus tree I have designed for a Liberian rework submod. The economic section of the tree starts with several focuses dedicated to reducing the countries debt and responding to Black Monday. The negative effects incurred from the crash will not be removed until the completion of the Establish Heavy Industry focus. In addition, as Liberia is a quite poor country, several focuses have been dedicated to improving the quality of life(reducing the effects of a national spirit) and boosting literacy(Liberia will now start with one research slot as opposed to two). As showcased, the only bailout partner available now is Firestone. I have chosen to do this mainly due to the political routes relying on a scandal that comes as a result of the deal. The next section of the tree is the political section. Due to the more chaotic geopolitical situation, the Fernando Po forced labor allegations are left uninvestigated and, as similar practices are used in the new Firestone deal, become the focal point of a new scandal. The manner in which this scandal is responded to will determine which political route the country will go down. Upon completion of the elections focus, the section will be replaced with a new political tree based upon which faction ultimately seized power. Here is a teaser of two of the possible political trees. Following the political section is the military section of the tree. As Liberia would not have entered into the first Weltkrieg, their military is left in a fairly disorganized state with the branches available allowing for either the standardization of the military or the development of a more atypical army. The naval and air branches are far more focused on developing a basic navy and air force as Liberia lacked both at the time. The final section of the tree is the foreign policy tree. The different routes are restricted for certain political paths.

The image was generated with the hoi4treesnap tool. I have uploaded an image of this tree prior in the form of a screenshot, but, after making a slight alteration to the text of one focus, I have elected to upload this image of the same tree.
