I just got GTA IV: Complete Edition on Steam. Do I HAVE to downgrade or can I play as is?
ColAccel: HEAVILY reduces GTA IV loading times by (If I remember correctly, that is) combining all the meshes (https://github.com/ThirteenAG/IV.EFLC.ColAccel/releases).

After spending a day successfully modding GTA IV: Complete Edition with NO downgrades other than original music restoration, I'm super confused about why people think it isn't possible.
As Clonk said, ZolikaPatch crashes with or without this process killer, and yeah it's probably due to these specific addresses you're talking about, it's why FusionFix, ColAccel, pretty much any of the ASI mods out there require new versions for 12043

TBOGT minor detail, but where’s the damn reverse lights?
Another mod you might wanna take a look at is ’ColAccel’, what it does is it reduces load times by a lot. Though if you’re on a SSD, i don’t think there’s too much difference. https://github.com/ThirteenAG/IV.EFLC.ColAccel/releases
