Possible Reclaim Case
After a lot of research I found this page with Tips to understand the status of your wallet. It gives a list of adresses from a snapshot from 2017 for a first assessment. I researched my old address by checking the withdrawel history on my exchange and found it on the list marked with a CURL_NOT_TRANSITIONED. In this case the Tips webpage says I should send the address to the IOTA Foundation for further verification and confirmation. But there is simply no description of how this should be done.

Firefly Token Migration
The reason why you don't see your coins will probably be something else. Namely, you did not perform the migration in 2017 and your coins are now at the Foundation. easy to check if you know your address. https://github.com/iota-community/IOTA-Discord/blob/main/help/iota-recovery-tips.md#reclaim

I bought iota in feb 2018, and have not touched the coins from that date. They are still on the same adress i used then. Do I need to update something on the tangle or do anything, or should i wait fro chrysalis?
thetangle.org does not keep much history. if its 2-3 years old it will not show up. you can use explorer.iota.org instead. i don't have much time to help right now but you can look at this list and maybe one of the points apply to you: https://github.com/iota-community/IOTA-Discord/blob/main/help/iota-recovery-tips.md

Solid Foundations C and Programming
My experience with "C Primer Plus" was a good one I found it very nicely explained, and it's wordy as it explains everything to the details, and with every example, there is a new programming idea. I don't know your studying technique but I suggest you implement every example by yourself. Nevertheless, you could give CS50 a try, it's without saying one of the best introductory courses, and also take a look at "Learn C the hard way" there are also videos accompanied by the book, which is pretty good in my opinion since you don't want something "wordy". And pick a project it will help you with your learning journey as learning without implementation is just half learning. - Project based learning - Project-based tutorials in C - Build your own X

Help in choosing C library
Usually you fit the library to the project, not the project to the library. Just pick something that interests you, maybe even re-do a C++ project in C instead. If you really need ideas, here is a list that can help you.
