Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Is there any possibilitiy to implement your own electronics in HomeKit?
Sure, you just have to fork the HomeKit Accessory Development Kit code from GitHub
- Should I commit to Z-Wave or HomeKit for my home automation setup?

PCB Review: Wi-Fi Module (Updated!)
Yeah, I basically finished porting the Apple HomeKit ADK to use the SimpleLink SDK and FreeRTOS kernel. Just haven’t gotten around to uploading to GitHub yet. Sure I can help you get started.

HomeKit ADK can connect, pair, but can not get value
Hi there, I build yocto and homekit ADK on my raspberry pi, and code examples to test it. I add a new service and new characteristic for the temperature sensor. When I execute it, I can pair the device and print information(manufacturer, ...) of the device on my iPhone. But iPhone can not get the value of temperature. logging on below. https://github.com/apple/HomeKitADK/issues/111 The same code is successful on Raspbian.

Amazon, Google, Apple back alliance to certify smart home devices that work together
HomeKit has licensing restrictions that prohibit use of my hardware for certain applications -- unless you pay for some Apple Inc.'s MFi Program. Link.

PCB Review: Wi-Fi Module
This is designed to replace a Wi-Fi module in one of my ceiling fans, in order to add support for Apple HomeKit using the open-source ADK which I've already ported to run on the TI LAUNCHCC3235MOD evaluation board (more or less, will post all of this on GitHub soon). The dimensions and component placement are constrained to match the original board. I started out just writing new firmware for the original board, which uses a Kinetis K12 Cortex M4 MCU and GainSpan/Telit GS2200 Wi-Fi module, but I could not get the HomeKit ADK code and stack to fit in the 320KB program flash / 32KB SRAM on the MCU without substantial effort and debugging limitations. The GainSpan module has plenty of flash and SRAM, but unfortunately that company charges $7,000+ for the SDK to reprogram it.

Equivalent gstreamer Command? Trying to get Raspberry Pi Zero + PiCam to work With HomeKit
I'm working on an configuration / hub iOT system for HomeKit (and maybe eventually google/amazon's version of HomeKit), OpenHub, and I'd really love to get the PiCam to work with the Pi Zero as an iOT camera. I'm using HAP-Python to build the system, and they've already done a ton of the heavy lifting. Unfortunately, the default implementation of the camera accessory uses this command, which works quite well on more powerful boxes than the Pi Zero.

Is there a programmatic way to get data for all Home Kit accessories?
I looked at libraries like HAP-NodeJS or HAP-python, but those seems focused on:
What are some alternatives?
connectedhomeip - Matter (formerly Project CHIP) creates more connections between more objects, simplifying development for manufacturers and increasing compatibility for consumers, guided by the Connectivity Standards Alliance.
HAP-NodeJS - Node.js implementation of the HomeKit Accessory Protocol (HAP)
homebridge-config-ui-x - The Homebridge UI. Monitor, configure and backup Homebridge from a browser.
fumebuddy - Intelligent Hakko FX951 Fume Extraction
OpenHub - OpenHub is software meant to help you build iOT devices with Raspberry Pi.
automate-gate-opening - Automate gate/garage door opening via 433.92MHz emitter with Raspberry Pi, Home Assistant and Homekit.
