You can create a node editor with Dear PyGui as well, e.g. see examples Heron or interactive assembly line balancer.

HOW TO spawn new nodes in the node editor
The showcase shows two apps with node editors: Heron and Interactive Assembly Line Balancer. The latter uses an older version of DPG that is not compatible with the latest version of DPG. I think that the node editor specific code should compatible still. In the latest version of DPG, you should use `tag` instead of `id`.

you could take a look at ryvencore_qt which is the backend used to render nodes of another Python node editor, Ryven (tho this one can't export pure python).
