Trying to get a lv2 plugin work on Linux
NAM vst works with Yabridge. You will get native GUI that way. Protesus is a good alternative with native Linux version and it is integrated into BYOD through GuitarML processor. BYOD is the best sounding guitar software (IMHO), Linux or not.

NAM: The First Free, Open Source Amp Modeling Software
I think Proteus was first and it has some advantages over NAM (capturing the whole range of gain knob, integration with BYOD, different training modes, Linux version). Good choice of captures available too.

Trying to get a lv2 plugin work on Linux
Just 2 days ago, I learnt that there's a thing called NAM, which is free and open source, and sounds miles better than Guitarix (no offense but I can't even find a place to do donation so what can I even do), and someone made a Linux plugin version.
What are some alternatives?
PrincePedal - Prince of Tone style guitar plugin made with neural networks
pipecontrol - Pipewire control GUI program in Qt (Kirigami2)
DALI - A GPU-accelerated library containing highly optimized building blocks and an execution engine for data processing to accelerate deep learning training and inference applications.
NeuralAmpModelerPlugin - Plugin for Neural Amp Modeler
amp-rack - Amp Rack is a Guitar / Voice Audio Effects Processor for Android. Amp Rack is an Open Source LADSPA Plugins Host for Android. More than 150 high quality audio plugins are available which can be added in any order to the audio effect chain to create distinct high quality tones for your guitar!
mediapipe - Cross-platform, customizable ML solutions for live and streaming media.
SmartGuitarAmp - Guitar plugin made with JUCE that uses neural networks to emulate a tube amplifier.
BYOD - Build-your-own guitar distortion!
yabridge - A modern and transparent way to use Windows VST2, VST3 and CLAP plugins on Linux
