For gnome-terminal , i could just run this script to get a customized terminal very quickly: https://github.com/Gogh-Co/Gogh , However, that script doesn't work with gnome-console.

Been using Mint 6 months now as a college student with a low end laptop. So far no problem. Switched from Windows 10 coz it's sluggish on this hardware.
it's just an xfce-terminal, with no menu for clean look and downloaded the Slate color scheme from here https://mayccoll.github.io/Gogh/

10 days using Mint, first Xfce and now Cinnamon, just loving it, much smoother than Windows 10 and also prettier since you can customize at will (Btw, how do I change the terminal color scheme?).
