GW2Clarity VS GW2-ArcDPS-Boon-Table

Just use Gw2Clarity and customize it by yourself, to whatever size and position you want.

We don't have access to stuff like this with the APIs we currently use, but you might be interested in Gw2Clarity.

Clarity helps massively with the buff bar

GW2 Clarity. You can't use it in WvW or sPvP, not because you would be banned, but because third-party addons are restricted in what kind of information they have access to in competitive modes, so it just straight up doesn't work in PvP instances.

That's why I said it doesn't show duration. Addon author clarified why they're not going to do it here. TL;DR: it's a mix of technical limitations and their own stance on what addons should be able to do.

I tried to install Clarity addon but it seems to work just partially and I'm not sure what's wrong. Couldn't find any information on google. Do you guys know how to setup it properly? Sorry for a bad picture. The layout's not visible on the screenshots.

Try Clarity. It allows you to track only important boons, highlights them if you're low on stacks/don't have the boon anymore, etc. You can place it anywhere on the screen and adjust the size to make it easier to track. Unfortunately, it doesn't show boon duration — a mix of technical restrictions and the author's personal stance on the matter. So you can only see whether the boon is active or not.

I'm not sure if the ArcDPS boon table project plans on expanding the list of effects they track, but if you use Clarity, you can help by submitting a PR with the buff you need.

Motivation: GW2 kinda forces you to look at the bottom on the screen for cds. I'd like to reduce the need for that. GW2Clarity - https://github.com/Friendly0Fire/GW2Clarity - is an addon i found which helps with that by displaying boons/conditions - unfortunately - like ARCdps it's disabled on PvP. And sometimes you don't even have feedback on how long something takes. Example: yesterday I started playing Dragonhunter w/ Longbow. And I found out, that the gameplay revolves around activating "speer of justice" and fitting certain abilities within the 10s window after it. Sure you can build an intuition for those 10s. But it would be a lot more chill to have a count-down / progress-bar as an orientation. I would even reduce the 10s to maybe 7s to let me know if I can still prioritize damage-over-time abilities over others to make use of the speer.

You download arcdps and boontable. Insall and use according to guide. Open a window for damage done, damage taken, a window for boons and a window for cc. Then check if you do remotely the same damage and breakbar cc as your teammates. You can also uploadd and check the logs created by the addon to https://dps.report/.

if you struggle with boon uptime, just take more that the minimum amount of boon duration for your build. It is hard to write a custom build for each person, which is why on stuff like snowcrows.com the builds usually mention ways to get more boon duration (diviner/ritualist gear, boon food, ..). Just gotta combine arcdps with its boontable addon or look at some logs. Either way, if people know what to expect, it will be chill. Typically people don't rly expect more than 90% boon uptime from random people. If it drops below that, at some point it can rly be hard for the dps players to practice properly. You'll still win ofc and in a training or for a single fight people would be like w/e, but if it is like a 10 boss run, at some point dps guys would be "can we pls play the game, too."
