    These aren't tested on 1.0.4.0 (might not work at all) but you could see what happens by replacing deferred_lighting.fxc with these variants and try the d3d9.dll wrapper they have, they say it increases shadow resolution without affecting perfomance. https://github.com/RaphaelK12/GTA4-Improved-Soft-Shadows
