Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Best way to auto-align photos so that they're stable when put into a timelapse for example?
Uh an MTG player here, also a freak of GIMP. Also a Computer Vision Engineer, up to my knowledge there exists a ML framework plugin for GIMP 2 called GIMP ML, which works on both Mac and Linux: https://github.com/kritiksoman/GIMP-ML, but I really do not know the internals of the plugin and I do not know if there is an interface to do this.

Just like Photoshop, GIMP is only capable of fast and complex editing with the help of brushes(here are some good ones), scripts and sometimes plugins(also this one is recommended, available on most distro's repos as both standalone or as a plugin).

Gimp, Inkscape, Krita, Kdenlive, Darktable...
For RAW editing i could suggest RawTherapee as an extension to GIMP, amazing tool and you'll feel home. GIMP supports python extensions and there are actually a bunch of AI supported extensions for GIMP, one project called GIMP-ML actually collects AI extensions together for GIMP, and they're more safer than Photoshop since they're not sending images to Adobe servers, all processed locally and depending on your computer faster than Photoshop(Since GIMP doesn't wait response from outside servers).

plugin dissapears on second start of gimp
The best place to report this would be the GIMP-ML issue tracker at https://github.com/kritiksoman/GIMP-ML/issues

Just found out about gimp-ML!!! Having a lot of trouble installing on macOS ... Any help???
For example, the official instructions at https://github.com/kritiksoman/GIMP-ML/blob/master/INSTALLATION.md are certainly not written for the absolute beginner who will likely not be familiar with anything mentioned there, but someone who knows the basics of installing Python packages with pip and virtualenv will start to follow them and may run into problems along the way.

I'm looking for an AI Art generator from images
pix2pix (https://github.com/junyanz/pytorch-CycleGAN-and-pix2pix) - This is a PyTorch implementation of the pix2pix algorithm for image-to-image translation. Given a set of images, the model can learn to generate a new image from a different domain that is similar to the input image.

Seamless textures with SD and PBR maps with a pix2pix cGAN
Using junyanz/pytorch-CycleGAN-and-pix2pix as a basis for pix2pix, I applied the same blending method to fix seams. It essentially takes an input image and generates an output. The results depend on the paired training data. In this case, each map (height, roughness, etc.) is a separate checkpoint and had to be trained on paired training data with the diffuse as the input and the respective map as the output.

Training a neural net to generate Wojaks
I'm working on creating a face-to-wojak model using PyTorch CycleGan/Pix2Pix [0] and found some of my outputs to be outrageous yet somehow relatable. People are into it so thought I'd share on HN
