Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I have a very powerful computer, is there any way I can utilise my hardware and view the Mandelbrot at very deep zoom levels
There seem to be Windows binaries at https://github.com/bernds/GAPFixFractal/releases

1000x speedup on interactive Mandelbrot zooms: from C, to inline SSE assembly, to OpenMP for multiple cores, to CUDA, to pixel-reuse from previous frames, to inline AVX assembly...
I have a program that does this, using the GPU instead of SSE or AVX: https://github.com/bernds/GAPFixFractal

A busy corner of the Mandelbrot set
Me neither ... but this was made with GAPFixFractal https://github.com/bernds/GAPFixFractal which uses the same INTeger calculation technique, but on a GPU.

Bumpy Lace
I used the amazingly amazing https://github.com/bernds/GAPFixFractal which uses arbitrary-precision integer arithmetic on nvidia GPUs via CUDA.

I wrote an SFML-based Mandelbrot set viewer
I'll use the opportunity to plug my own toy: https://github.com/bernds/GAPFixFractal

Julia and Mojo (Modular) Mandelbrot Benchmark
https://github.com/xaos-project/XaoS is still awesome but could really use a GPU backend :)

There are lots of programs ... personally I use https://github.com/xaos-project/XaoS compiled with float128 "quad double"

Burning Ship Fractal
Note that this will also serve as a bit of stress test for your cpu ;-).
