Weekly Question Thread
If you want "more than IPS support on Linux", I can heartily recommend Flips which supports IPS and the much superior BPS format.

My first Mac : Black MacBook, still working with Lion!
You can put OS X 10.11 El Capitan on it with OS X Patcher! El Capitan is still a very much usable OS, pretty much every modern program still supports it! https://github.com/rmc-team/osx-patcher

I Started Collecting Older Macs About 2 Years Ago
You’re going to need this to run anything from Mountain Lion to High Sierra, which includes Yosemite (10.10). If you want to go any higher than that (up to Catalina, they stopped making patchers because they switched to linux) you’ll want this one instead. Make sure you’re connected to Ethernet! That was the cause of most of my trouble when I was trying to install. You can get an installer here.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing Flips and osx-patcher you can also consider the following projects:
PCS5 - PCS5 is PS5 Emulator!
nexus-tools - Installer for ADB, Fastboot, and other Android tools on Linux, macOS, Chrome OS, and Windows
macos-patcher - Command line tool for running macOS on unsupported Macs
Patched-Sur - A simple but powerful patcher for macOS Big Sur.
ninja2 - Improved patching engine that also supports legacy formats such as IPS, PPF and FireFlower
