Ask HN: What's your Linux window manager and/or desktop environment?
- Tray Icons Reloaded: https://github.com/MartinPL/Tray-Icons-Reloaded
I also change a few things using GNOME Tweaks; namely setting the application theme to Orchis-grey-dark-compact (https://github.com/vinceliuice/Orchis-theme), icon theme to Flatery-Dark (https://github.com/cbrnix/Flatery) and system font to Inter (https://rsms.me/inter/).
I've been using this setup for quite a while and I've been very happy with my computing experience, both in terms of aesthetics and overall UX. I tried tiling WMs for a while (first KWin and then i3 / Sway) but I found that I'm just a messy person who tends to be more productive with a floating WM.

Finally got to install Linux on my main computer
Maybe the Icons I'm using. It's this icon pack: https://github.com/cbrnix/Flatery
- Is there any widget out there that I could use to have the application name and icon of the active window in a panel (like in GNOME's top panel)? I'm using a tiling KWin script and it would be nice to have it next to the launcher.

Not really a rice, but I like it!
Gnome Shell Theme: WhiteSur Theme with modified accent colors from the .css file where I changed the green color (had installed the green varient) with the baby blue/almost cyan color.

GMOME 44 themes
If you like the aesthetics of MacOS, you could try Big Sur Theme. In the repo there are instructions on how to apply the theme into gtk3 and gtk4 apps and also on libadwaita apps.
- It's normal to don't have any background image on lock screen when turn on the system or log out the profile?

GNOME 44
I have written https://taoofmac.com for the last 20 years, and have spent the last year progressively using GNOME and Fedora more and more.
I use the WhiteSur GTK theme (https://github.com/vinceliuice/WhiteSur-gtk-theme) so that I don't have to decipher the nuances of the standard GNOME iconography (some of it is... well, not as pretty, and definitely not as intuitive).
I love this setup, but if GNOME decides to keep breaking user themes, I will have to look elsewhere (most likely a different Fedora spin, although definitely not KDE).

Uniform look gtk qt applications
Thank you, I am looking for stylepak. Moreover I corrected the spelling error in the post! with "--flatpak" option I was referring to the Readme of the WhiteSur gtk theme, but actually looking into the install.sh there is no option for it.
