tor-browser 12.0.4 installed from scoop not functioning
In case anyone has tor-browser installed from scoop and was wondering why it might not be connecting (just stuck on "Establishing a connection" it's probably related to something like this. In any case, in the meantime installing the one from the main website will work - I did a "lazy install" by just right clicking -> 7z -> extract to torbrowser-install-win64-12.0.4_ALL folder, go to /torbrowser-install-win64-12.0.4\ALL/Browser/) and launch firefox.exe and you should be good to go.

Might be something via chocolaty/winget too?

yt-dlp: A youtube-dl fork with additional features and fixes
Add it to https://github.com/lukesampson/scoop-extras .

A simple script that should completely work but doesn't end up working
`json_file_from_scoop` actually is from here if the filename matches.
-
One Commander V3 - File manager with dual-pane browsing, tabs, columns navigation, editable themes and icons, and more. See 4 screenshots and first comment for info and free download
Would you please consider creating a package for Chocolatey and/or adding it to the extras bucket for Scoop? I think it's always better when the authors of the programs are also the maintainers of the packages, but I understand if it's outside your scope.

Ungoogled Chromium updater for windows?
Try scoop, it's in the "extras" bucket. The portable version seems to be outdated and stuck on version 85 for some reason, but the regular ungoogled chromium version seems to be kept up to date.

Any licensing free package for modern WPF look?
Only really works if you or your users are a fan of Material Design, and honestly MD seems to have declined in usage overall, and there are no big apps for Windows using MD. Seems like you'd be better off with either a totally radical design/theme, and have the design resources to do that, or use something that looks like a native Windows app, whether thats the Win32 look, WPF defaults, or something WinUI inspired like https://github.com/Kinnara/ModernWpf

WinUI port from UWP my experience
ModernWpf and WpfUI are both great options for making modern looking WPF apps. Combine that with CommunityToolkit.Mvvm and you've got a solid platform for Windows-only desktop apps.

Edge – Closing a 30 pixel gap between native and web
This one looks pretty solid. There are loads of them. The demos I’ve seen all showcase live feedback.
https://superguigui.github.io/simple-color-picker/
Compare to the best I can find for WPF: https://github.com/dsafa/wpf-color-picker - no live feedback, dialog only, no documented support for modern .NET. There are some commercial controls available from syncfusion and the like if you want to pay for such things.
Compare to color dialog in WinForms: https://github.com/Kinnara/ModernWpf/issues/72
WinUI has a decent color picker, but there are other trade offs going with WinUI that make it inferior to the web environment (e.g. broken rendering of SVG/paths).
