Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Disable the Wi-Fi receiver on esp8266?
Yes, I need to send the data without listening to the broadcast. There is a similar project on raspberry pi https://github.com/rodizio1/EZ-WifiBroadcast

Where can I find the people streaming 120FPS 1080p video over IP+Wifi with no frame drops and using only open source software (RPi02+RPiHDCAM+ffmpeg or gstreamer and maybe Wi-Fi Direct and receiver diversity)
7 yeas ago there was proof of concept called wifibroadcast / ez-wifibroadcast

Making a backup/rear view camera plus climate control
Newer and more refined solutions to the problem have been created as other projects needed low latency developed. EZ-WiFiBroadcast is a GitHub project devoted to exactly that and was originally developed for transmitting video from RC Planes and drones. The project page is here, and the thread discussing its evolution is here.

FPV drone using Raspberry Pi
Yes, you can. I'm actually now working on a similar project and on a board that will allow doing precisely that. You can also check Navio2.

RPI4 HAT/FC with STM32F411 (more details in comments)
I have been using INAV on my trials and so far it works fine. I made a custom target for it. It's available here.

RPI4 HAT with STM32F411 (details in comments)
Hi. I designed this board that can be used standalone or as an RPI4 HAT. The board's brain is an STM32F411 that can be programmed through USB using for example Arduino IDE. It has a few peripherals, namely a gyro, a microphone, a pressure sensor, and a buzzer. It also has a Mini-PCIe socket that allows the use of an LTE module to give 4 and 5G connectivity. It's an open-source project and I made a GitHub where you can check for more details. I'm trying to create a small community of people that might be interested in one unit, in order to produce a small batch.

Live stream and control your RPI bot + STM32 RPI4 HAT (details in comments)
Hi! This is a DIY project I have been working on that I would like to share with you. It is a web app that allows us to stream and control/interact with the RPI easily. I called it Ubiquo (the Portuguese word for ubiquitous). In a nutshell, it relies on a WebRTC connection to receive video from the RPI and simultaneously send commands and read telemetry. I made a GitHub with the code and instructions on using it. I also designed an RPI HAT for the RPI4 that brings a few "remotability" features. I called it UbiOne ( like Obi-Wan ;) ). It was designed around an STM32F411 microcontroller and includes a Mini-PCIe socket to provide LTE connectivity through an LTE module. It also has a set of peripherals, such as a gyro and microphone. The HAT is quite flexible and allows several features, such as being used as an FC for drones or managing the RPI power, allowing a real low power mode. Currently, it's not yet in production. Soon I plan to launch a crowdfunding campaign to fund the production.
What are some alternatives?
OpenHD - OpenHD
YAMSPy - Yet Another Multiwii Serial Protocol Python Interface... for Betaflight, iNAV, etc...
DroneBridge - DroneBridge is a system based on the WifiBroadcast approach. A bidirectional digital radio link between two endpoints is established using standard WiFi hardware and a custom protocol. DroneBridge is optimized for use in UAV applications and is a complete system. It is intended be a real alternative to other similar systems, such as DJI Lightbridge or OcuSync.
Ubiquo - Live streaming and remote control
ipcam-view - MJPEG video streaming on Android
wfb-ng - WFB-NG - the next generation of long-range packet radio link based on raw WiFi radio
paparazzi - Paparazzi is a free and open-source hardware and software project for unmanned (air) vehicles. This is the main software repository.
