Simple dialer in fdroid doesn't have Truecaller api field
Yes, that's true. I used this dialer from GitHub. It side steps Truecaller and uses their api to get caller id.

FOSS alternative to Truecaller?
Or else if you are fine with Tasker, then you can import this Tasker profile and input your token in it. This profile will show a scene every time you dial/receive a call. Url - Tasker-Truecaller
