I did not know of a Java port, but this reminds me there is some kind of JavaScript-based environment for DOS that I see linked now and then (think it is bundled with FreeDOS?). Probably this one:

Need help getting a game to run in Dosbox for Mac
OP. Look into DOSBox Pure. I have seen it for MAC. I don't have a MAC but i did get games to work on handhelds. Try this link for starters

At that point just use any of the DOSBox variants. DOSBox Pure made for libretro is the best imo (as far as gaming is your concern) https://github.com/schellingb/dosbox-pure
Or just use ScummVM if Monkey Island (and alike) is your only goal https://www.scummvm.org/

Retro Arch, Windows 98 ,America , any ideas what am doing wrong?
You can run Windows on Retroarch with the latest version of the DOSBox Pure core. I believe that is what OP is doing as I don't know of any other way to run Windows under Retroarch.

You can grab the newest arm7 build from https://github.com/schellingb/dosbox-pure/releases/tag/0.9.7 and replace the core with the newest version in the retroarch folder on Miyoo. I tested it with the previous build 0.9.6 and it works perfectly on the Miyoo (the new build, not Windows 95 - https://www.reddit.com/r/MiyooMini/comments/vmxt12/testing_fallout_1windows_98_on_miyoo_mini_nope/ )
