My custom React app and Python REST API running my layout with JMRI and a see of electronics. I've finally got everything working together. For now.
I have a Raspberry Pi that runs JMRI and my REST API. Connected to that, I have an Arduino running https://github.com/DCC-EX/CommandStation-EX. The api sends serial commands to arduino(s) for all turnouts and effects and the React App sends commands to the JMRI web server for all train control. These commands are documented here: https://dcc-ex.com/reference/software/command-reference.html.
