Must have mods?
Right behind them are VisualAdjustments2, BubbleTweak (mostly for the animation-speed tweaks), Weapon Focus Plus (especially for Shifter or any other natural-attack-focused build, makes them sooo much better when you only need one set of feats), and Enduring Rework (finally makes Enduring Spells useful on its own and not just a "feat tax" you pay on your way to Greater Enduring Spells). Add Combat Relief if you hate crusade management but don't want to set it to Auto; not using it myself but other Redditors said it still works.

This game is at the same time one of the most impressive games I have played, and one of the most frustrating and worst examples of game-designs I have encountered.
I use the updated version you can find here. It works well after newest patches.

Any crusade mods?
Toy Box has various cheats like giving yourself tons of resources. Combat Relief has more options but hasn't been updated since November: no idea if it still works with latest patch.
- Need help, softlocked my crusade in the tutorial.
- Overwhelmed in Act 3

Questions concerning items and party comp and it’s relation to mythic path
As soon as you're tired of doing Crusade mode, do whatever you feel like to get through it. It doesn't get any more interesting later on. If you're open to mods, https://github.com/alterasc/CombatRelief negates all the battles.

Is there by any chance a mod that reduces the strength of enemies?
I can't promise these all work with the latest patch (v2.1 beta) but: You can use Toybox to cheat. Bubble Buffs takes a while to setup but automates pre-combat buffing. The Combat Relief mod has an option to always skip random encounters.

Is automated crusade still broken?

few mods are not working for Pathfinder WOTR EE
Make sure you're using this version of Combat Relief; the original mod hasn't been updated in a year.

Sosiel build without animal companion and maybe Greater Enduring Spell
BTW if you're on PC, check out the Enduring Rework mod, it makes Enduring Spells much more useful on its own and not just a "feat tax" you pay to pick up GES. Though it does add its own feat tax (Extend Spell), but it's worth it IMO just to turn your 1 round/level buffs into 10-minute buffs much sooner than GES can turn them into 24-hour buffs. Plus it's good for fixed-duration or hard-capped spells which don't benefit from GES.

Crusader Build for Staunton Vhane (Respec'd)
BTW a new mod you might want to check out: Enduring Rework which makes Enduring Spells more useful to all buff spells and not just the long-term ones. Also adds an Extend Spell pre-req but hey, I already took that feat on Staunton so he's set.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing CombatRelief and EnduringRework you can also consider the following projects:
VisualAdjustments2
WrathMods-WeaponFocusPlus - Allows you to use fighter weapon group based weapon focus instead of picking a single weapon.
DarkCodex - Mod for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
