I have a hashed password, but have no idea on how to crack it.
The latest version of hashcat (6.2.1) will identify the has you give it so you don’t have to figure it out beforehand. Otherwise, tools like hash-if or ciphey https://github.com/Ciphey/can help identify it. Failing that - google works. https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes

Trying to identify the hash type with haiti:

- can you use the hashcat tool in linux to decrypt a bcrypt hash code? I am working on task 5 of the Hashing - Crypto 101 room. The basic types table from the hashcat -h command APPEARS to be only showing MD5 types. I don't know what type $SP$ is suppose to be.
