PS2 - MCBoot - OPL - Any tips or advice for a newbie with a few questions?
Q5: There is definately a lot of interesting homebrew software for the ps2. it isn't an emulation beast like the xbox or wii but there is RetroArch, SNESticle, PicoDrive, and some other stuff like. https://www.psx-place.com/forums/emulators.213/ The coolest thing IMO is using cheats to do widescreen fixes. OPL has support for cheats and you can use CheatDevice https://github.com/root670/CheatDevicePS2/ for discs (but it also works for OPL)

(FreeMcBoot) Codebreaker gives me a black screen or a game browser
I use cheat device for cheats. It works with discs and OPL and is very easy to use.

I can’t get this to work on my PS2 slim SCPH-77001, how can I get it to work?
It wouldn't help run that disc but fmcb would allow you to use homebrew cheats, such as cheat device

Does anybody have working PS2RD codes for Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (SCUS_971.24)?
For now, the workaround is using root670's CheatDevice, which means you have to run it first everytime you want to play Jak series on OPL. Inconvenient, I know.
