I rewrote WinUI to WPF
I've done a similar thing for FreeCAD in QT.
- If you happen to be one of the rare FreeCAD Link Stage 3 users who is also a Windows fan like me, I made a Win UI stylesheet that you might appreciate, with lots of caveats please read the README in details, it's a bit rough around the edges.

WinUI port from UWP my experience
ModernWpf and WpfUI are both great options for making modern looking WPF apps. Combine that with CommunityToolkit.Mvvm and you've got a solid platform for Windows-only desktop apps.
