You’re so close! You need to install the BootNTR Selector app on your 3DS. If you follow the instructions on the GitHub for bootntr selector, you should see that you also need to be using the Luma3DS 3GX Loader build instead of the latest Luma release. Once you are booting the loader build of luma and have bootntr installed, launch bootntr selector and then select one of the three options (I’m not sure which one is right, but I did 3.6). After you select one, you should be booted back to the 3ds menu. From here, bring up the Rosalina menu (L+Down+select), go to miscellaneous options, and then turn on input redirection. Now you should see the ip of your 3ds. Enter this in ntrviewer and presto, you should be up and running!

Hello. I'm trying to stream my pokemon Sun playthrough with Snickerstream. Works like a charm but for some reason NTR 3.6 keeps crashing every 15 minutes. The screen freezes, I can still hear the sound and all other buttons become unresponsive so must restart the console by holding the power button. I get this error for a second before it turns off. Using Luma 12.0 (and 3GX Loader build 12.0 to make BootNTR work on that version). Not using custom plugins, themes, cheats or anything else, just the Snickerstream NFC patch for NTR. I tried restarting the game every 10 minutes to ensure there's no memory leak and did more than 10 test streams but NTR crashes every single time after 15 or 16 minutes. What's going on? Anyone else with the same issue? Is there anything I can do?

The crashes always occur when encountering a wild pokemon, the screen stays frozen like this and only if NTR is running. Using Luma 12.0 (and 3GX Loader build 12.0 to make BootNTR work on that version). Not using custom plugins, themes, cheats or anything else, just the NFC patch for NTR. What's going on? Is pokemon Sun incompatible with BootNTR and causes some kind of memory leak over time?

You can kind of with NTRView. It sends your "New" 3DS gameplay to your Wii U's screen.

You can stream your 3ds through the gamepad and tv with ntrview. There is some input lag but a game like that wouldn't matter too much, and the sound only comes out of the 3ds. https://github.com/yawut/ntrview-wiiu

Thirdly, download and install NTR View on your Wii U : https://github.com/yawut/ntrview-wiiu

Set up NTRView on your Wii U, then install BootNTR via Universal Updater on your 3DS, launch 3.6, then open Rosalina Menu and start InputRedirection. Open NTRView on your Wii U and put in your 3DS' IP, displayed on the bottom screen.

I do wish we can use the Wii U Gamepad on the Switch. I've been using it to play 3DS games through ntrview-wiiu and it's pretty comfy for longer play sessions. Prop the 3DS on a phone stand though since the streaming quality is mediocre, I'm only using it for controls.

This particular method (via NTR) only works on New models, but there is an alternate (and now deprecated/unsupported) method for Old models.

The alternative to a physical capture card is the CFW WiFi streaming method. This requires you to first install CFW, then use Nanquitas' 3GX Loader Edition of Luma3DS to allow you to run BootNTRSelector, which you can then view with Snickerstream (or NTRView if you own a Wii U). This particular method (via NTR) only works on New models, but there is an alternate method for Old models.

You need to run NTR-CFW on the 3DS (use BootNTRSelector, but note that it doesn't work with current Luma3DS, so you may need to install a different version to use it). You should also enable InputRedirection in Rosalina (opened by pressing L+Down+Select--InputRedirection is under "Miscellaneous options..."), which will allow you to control the 3DS with the Wii U GamePad. Then, start ntrview-wiiu on the Wii U and enter your 3DS's IP address, which you can find in Rosalina.
