To login, an email will be sent and upon approving the login you will be automatically redirected to your cloud. The storage is decentralized, so no one party has your (encrypted) files. The privacy policy is also good, with only an email, if provided, is collected, as well as anonymous usage data.

MegaBasterd (yes spelled like that) is a great lil tool for bypassing the download limit that MEGA imposes.

Just wanted to add that one can use MegaBasterd to easily bypass the GiB limit. :)

megabasterd, a desktop app used for downloading files hosted on mega.nz. The project is quite popular but barely anyone except for the original author understands the code. There is nothing good in it, it's just a big mess. But it kind of works and people use it. I'm pretty sure you can find most software bad practices in there.
