Java OSS with the WORST code quality you’ve ever seen?
megabasterd, a desktop app used for downloading files hosted on mega.nz. The project is quite popular but barely anyone except for the original author understands the code. There is nothing good in it, it's just a big mess. But it kind of works and people use it. I'm pretty sure you can find most software bad practices in there.

Then I thought I would try megaCMD, but also cant seem to get an SSH to open over putty.

Is there a way to make an app work silently in the background? I don't want the MEGA GUI on my desktop, in Activities and in the bottom app bar, but I want it to continue synchronizing my files. Minimizing is not a solution. System info in 3rd pic.

I'd recommend MEGAcmd. It's from the official team and exponentially faster compared to every other mega-downloader I've ever tried.
