I think I should use the software Better Joy for Dolphin: https://github.com/yuk27/BetterJoyForDolphin, which is based off original software called Better Joy that works for CEMU: https://github.com/Davidobot/BetterJoy.

how to connect joycons to Dolphin?
Use betterjoy it even has motion control support and it works pretty good.

I want Skyward Sword to be released on the Switch for exactly this reason.
Actually, it appears possible to use Switch controllers with Dolphin using this[1]. I may have to set this up in the near future.

Ok, hear me out. something like this for the deck.
I have one of these and wanted to use it with the deck while hooked up to the TV. The closest I got to figuring it out was finding these drivers for windows https://github.com/KytechN24/xbox360wirelesschatpad
