BIGTREETECH-OCTOPUS-V1.0 VS klipper

It is strange though that the firmware I've built has a size of 28kb, while the one you can download from the BTT repo is only 23kb. Both can be flashed, but neither of them seems to work.

I have a 4.7kΩ pull up resistor soldered between 24VDC and PB7 (probe pin) on my board. This is detailed on page 11 of the user manual here (github).

I followed this wiring pinout and wired my neopixels following this: https://imgur.com/a/TtQbZPe. They are not currently working. The pin referenced on the pinout in the picture references the PB0 pin on the Octopus board as seen here: https://github.com/bigtreetech/BIGTREETECH-OCTOPUS-V1.0/blob/master/BIGTREETECH_Octopus_EN_updated_0719.pdf

With care and patience you can do it with a good quality soldering iron. You'll need solder wick to remove the old solder and good flux to fit replacement parts. You can use ordinary electronics grade tin/lead slder for the replacements; it's easier to use than lead-free, which is only mandated for commercial products for sale. There is _a lot_ wrong with Marlin. It is a complex codebase, full with ancient artefacts, litterred with preprocessor ifdefs every 2-3 lines of code, dynamic includes in the middle of CPP files, etc[1]. It's about as unreadable as C++ code gets--well, I guess it's not template metaprogramming.

Klipper by contrast is a breeze to read through[2].

I am very grateful for Marlin, for all of reprap, and everyone who has contributed to it. But saying there is nothing wrong with it is straight up misguided.

If you have (like me) problems getting the auto reconnect solution mentioned on klipper https://github.com/Klipper3d/klipper/issues/835 running.

Did you check the printer cfg examples folder? Looks like there are a few BTT octopus cfg in there.

Guys, I hope someone who has it could send me the printer.cfg of the Ender 3 V2 Neo, I found it here on github, but it seems that some things are out and don't work the right way. Thanks!
