least horrible rgb software?
I've had a decent experience with Artemis, but it requires the user to do nearly all the setup. If you have plenty of time to mess around and figure things out, it's really good, but if you want something that just works, look elsewhere.

Wait, so AsRock is one of the reliable brands now?
Hey, have you tried Artemis RGB? Works with everything I have thrown at it, its just as powerful as signal, free open source, and can even use it with OpenRGB for those weird devices.

Is there still no version of GHub on Linux? Apparently they've been promising this for over 3 years.

Looking for RGB software to control GameRock 4070TI, Z-790 Hero motherboard and Lian Li fans
Artemis might work, but the library it uses is somewhat slow to update and it takes a lot of setup. For all of these apps, you'll probably just have to wait for updates.

Running into several issues with OpenRGB
After you are done, choose your favorite colors for your fans and save a profile, then go to the Settings tab and enable Load Profile, so your colors will load at start up, but not when turning your PC on, sadly this only works for my ram and GPU, everything else connected to my motherboard (Fans, LED strip and motherboard LEDs) reset to default color (orange) after shutting down my PC, but is not a problem because I use Artemis and it controls the effects of my RGB (also if you are interested, use Artemis for some cool effects).

RGB software is IMPOSSIBLE.
If you're interested in trying one last piece of software, Artemis is a good one, although it takes a lot of setup. It does require the device manufacturer's software to be installed, and it doesn't fix the lagging issue, but you can pretty much customize however you want.

Does anyone else find Gnome "System Monitor" not so pretty? I know this app is harder to re-write or convert to GTK4 compare to others like an image viewer etc. I appreciate the hard work put in to these apps.
Use this theme

PDF program with GTK4 and libadwaita
As far as I know it doesn't exist yet... but most likely Evince will be ported in the future. But while that doesn't happen, what you can do is use the adw-gtk3 theme (https://github.com/lassekongo83/adw-gtk3) for legacy applications to combine with applications that are already ported to libadwaita

Rediscovering GNOME
I believe that adw-gtk3 could still be beneficial in ensuring a uniform appearance across both GTK3 and GTK4 applications. The more solutions we can offer to users, the greater the likelihood of achieving the desired outcome.
What are some alternatives?
