AbletonLive11_MIDIRemoteScripts VS ableton-live-midi-remote-scripts

Kind of a long shot but I'd appreciate any help. I just want to modify the Midimix Remote Script that somebody de-compiled (https://structure-void.com/ableton-live-midi-remote-scripts/) but i get the following error in Abletons log:

I wrote one this week. Yeah, there aren't really any resources. I leaned heavily on copy-paste-edit from existing scripts. This repo is a good place to start, although the decompiled pyc scripts are slightly out of date: https://github.com/gluon/AbletonLive11_MIDIRemoteScripts

I can see from the midi remote script (https://github.com/gluon/AbletonLive11_MIDIRemoteScripts/tree/main/Launchkey_MK2) there should be a session component (the coloured rectangle around the selected region of the session view) but it doesn't seem to show up? I don't remember it ever being there actually and I've had this sort of keyboard for years now, something must be wrong with the script?

To integrate with Ableton Live, I ended up tweaking the remote MIDI script https://github.com/laidlaw42/ableton-live-midi-remote-scripts. You can also make the keyboard try to mimic some existing controller like Launchpad, but that gives less freedom for what functions can be reassigned and how they work.

So recently i stumbled upon this MIDI script: https://github.com/laidlaw42/ableton-live-midi-remote-scripts and it works perfectly for my APC Mini. The problem is I get no LED feedback on the contents of the Session Box, so I'm asking

You can use this remote script https://github.com/laidlaw42/ableton-live-midi-remote-scripts to create the red box which can be mapped to any midi input, then another software like vmpk can be used to convert keystrokes into midi messages. Then you need to use loopMidi to connect the the keystroke-to-midi software (like vmpk) to ableton.

I found a useful repo on github https://github.com/laidlaw42/ableton-live-midi-remote-scripts, but I'm not able to making it works in Ableton 11 (it is still untested).
