ANSYS-WB-Batch-Script VS FreeCAD_SheetMetal

you can launch wb with it's own in-built ironpython, it's called batch mode. after that you can send commands to different modules like Mechanical. note that Mechanical doesn't ACT doesn't run the same python interpreter as the main ironpython one. i have this framework for automation of batch mode but there's no model settings functionality, just some postprocessing stuff, which is not what you want (i also didn't implement sending ACT code or it's half-assed - i don't remember), still you can get an idea how to work with batch mode but you'll have to figure out what ACT commands to send yourself (also if python ACT doesn't work you can go straight to javascript - which is the language wb is built on)

i think what you're looking for a different design point (DP), you can generate them if you have a bunch of parameters you can change. if you have solidworks installed you can enable integration and pass parameters to regenerate new geometry inside ansys. also i have a python framework for working with batch mode of ansys and there's a DP import functionality that will let you pass parameters in a csv file. also journal files are just python files.

Base-flange as it exists in Solidworks does not exist in FreeCAD sheetmetal. It's important to understand each of the buttons in the sheetmetal workbench are basically completely independent programs that do their own thing. Notice here how each button has it's own python file.
