Project mention: My Toddler Loves Planes, So I Built Her a Radar | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-11-27This is cool in concept, but FlightRadar24 has a built-in Augmented Reality feature that works really well.

Also, if I were to build my own local copy, I'd use an RTLSDR to get the ADSB packets direct and base my app on tar1090. https://github.com/wiedehopf/tar1090

Project mention: Is the Proxmox Firewall secure enough to run a VM as DMZ? | /r/HomeNetworking | 2023-07-17I understand this is a rather specific use case but I'm not exactly an expert this. I have an old PC that I'm converting into a AMP (https://cubecoders.com/AMP) server to host game servers as opposed to renting them from various providers. I don't know much about the concept of a DMZ server, I know it functionally runs outside of the network but not much past that. My ISP makes it difficult to port forward but there is an option to enable a DMZ which I understand allows all ports, and it appears to be simple to open and close ports in the Proxmox firewall. Which leads me to my question: Is the Proxmox firewall secure enough to run as a perimeter defense or should I look into other options? I'm also looking to expand my networking knowledge so any explanations for suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
The only other active binary hacks I'm aware of are rM-signature-patch and webinterface-onboot. Those are to solve specific issues though, they do not modify anything you may see. They can both be applied after ddvk.
