Project mention: Ask HN: How do I find someone to fix an OSS I can't? | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-02-13Hi HN, I have been looking to fix a fantastic piece of open source Java-based software that has been having more and more issues running on Mac, likely due to MacOS deprecating OpenGL support, which the app heavily relies on. The app can be found on Githubh here: https://github.com/constellation-app/constellation
I have managed to get it somewhat functional again on Mac but am still running into multiple issues of it crashing and/or freezing when using it on Mac. I'm not a full-time software dev and unfortunately don't have the skills to get this properly ironed out.
I wanted to ask here if there is a good online platform I could use to find someone who would be able to fix the issues for a reasonable fee?
Export the graph to GML or to GraphML or to GraphViz DOT or to some other Graph format. BTW I recommend 3D graph visualization over 2D when possible, that is when you're exploring interactively as opposed to printing figures. The Graphia tool is the only FOSS tool for this purpose that I know of:

Project mention: [LFG] Looking for older amateur/beginners in Europe for stoner rock | /r/BedroomBands | 2023-06-24Our collaboration software might look something like Sonobus and vdo.ninja for live jamming (if we're close enough), Discord or Whatsapp for chatting, maybe Area for reviewing mix-downs, and Bandlab for stem-sharing (Reaper too, if you've got it). I'm open to all suggestions. I'm also interested in learning how to use something like Sonic Sound Picture to do visualisations, or maybe creating AI generated animations, if deciding to upload anything to YT.
