Project mention: Stream to Chromecast with resolved, vlc and bash | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-01-07You can forward a Chrome window to it via your web browser, or you can use something like https://mkchromecast.com/ to push local videos to it.
To actually hear higher rates (if it is even possible), you need to drop from coin on a stereo set up or wired headphones and a DAC that can do higher rates well. But even if it is not possible, 16/44 or 24/48 or 24/96 (I think above that is silliness) on a better stereo system or to good headphones, is pretty awesome. Also Lossless Switcher, which automates it on macOS, is working very good now. So you can get out of the Audio MIDI Setup handcuffs. https://github.com/vincentneo/LosslessSwitcher
