Project mention: Open source rules engine for Magic: The Gathering | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-12-14
Project mention: MTGZone.com/c/finance is a new, federated MTG finance community! | /r/mtgfinance | 2023-06-11If there is any traction over time here I plan to visit topics like this fully and if it helps at all, I maintain other community projects and am very interested in getting something like this going.
Project mention: I made a straightforward card & deck translator. Share with friends! | /r/magicTCG | 2023-07-03Cards data come from MTGJSON which also powers Scryfall for example. If a translation is not available on Scryfall, you can safely bet it won't show up on the tool neither.
Project mention: I Hacked Magic the Gathering: Arena for a 100% Win Rate | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-12-04
A few weeks ago I asked people to submit rules questions that come up in competitive play, and we're finally done entering all ~200 in to RulesGuru. You can now select a format in the sidebar and be shown questions that could arise in a tournament of that format.
Project mention: Show HN: A fast, accurate and multilingual fuzzy search lib for the front end | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-02-14Have you considered building the search piece in wasm for performance? A few years back I was looking for a library like this and couldn’t find one that seemed fast enough for what I wanted. I ended up building one in rust and it’s easily 2x as fast as the js code I started with.
It’s not nearly as good a fuzzy search as this is as I just kinda tinkered with it till it felt ok for the purpose but it could be way better.
