To me, the main motivation beyond "because I can" is the accessibility of these projects: you just need some Python code and any webcam. I'd love to play around more with VR, but the owners of the leading systems aren't exactly known for their openness to external APIs... Maybe Google Cardboard is worth a revisit :)

I am new to machinelearning , openCV and Mediapipe programming with python and I need help with a project , about Hand-gesture-recognition related to this git-hub repo: https://github.com/kinivi/hand-gesture-recognition-mediapipe , I want to ask some questions , that the docuntation does not explain clearly enough for me. I have modified the .py files a bit , in order to train the model in new stationary hand gestures (keypoint_classification) , but I need help with moving gestures (point_history_classification). I built a tool that allows you to review and delete duplicate photos: https://github.com/mtalcott/google-photos-deduper
I used it on my own library of ~70k photos to delete ~20k duplicates. Hope it can work for others too. There seems to be interest in this feature from Google Photos users, but it hasn't ever made its way into the product.
