I found Jq to be difficult to use which is why Oj, https://github.com/ohler55/ojg is based on JSONPath. There still are a lot of options but it only takes a couple of help screens to figure out what the options are.
Currently, I am developing an E2E testing framework called go-spectest/spectest. Spectest is a package forked from steinfletcher/apitest, and I have been gradually adding its unique features. To enhance spectest further, I believe it's best to actually test APIs.
On the other hand, I'd like to bring in the json library of my choice, e.g. https://github.com/nlohmann/json or https://github.com/danielaparker/jsoncons. So I'd prefer the web server library provides as little as possible in the way of Json support, and certainly doesn't get in the way of using my library of choice. Similarly, I'd like to use my choice of automatic object serialization.
