Project mention: Pigz: Parallel gzip for modern multi-processor, multi-core machines | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-05-12Similarly, if people are interested, I have coded the possibility to compress zip files on several cores in zip.js [1]. The approach is simpler as it consists of compressing the entries in parallel. It still offers a significant performance gain though when compressing multiple files in a zip file, which is often the nominal case.

With Prerender Macro I add my grain of sand to open-source so that it can be combined or can be used in other contexts differently, because for version 0.1 it injects the HTML into the JSX tree itself, instead of fetching it from the edge. However, I would like for future versions to generate the infrastructure as code (IaC) to connect to the necessary cloud (Vercel, or others that implement PPR). Now that the library is open-source any contribution in this regard will be very welcome.
Project mention: You don't need K8s. Dockerized app deployment using Podman Systemd generators | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-03-17
Project mention: [Advanced] If you were to recreate your trade engine, what changes would you make? | /r/algotrading | 2023-11-12I learned from it that strategy is the hard part not the software. Regardless I think custom software engine still can have an edge in some cases. I developed my engine https://github.com/ocignis/ocignis-bot but dropped it and start developing new one, trying to create it to be the fast as possible and deployed closest to the exchange.
