Emacs document annotator, using Org-modeProject mention: Long-Time Emacs User Looking to Level-Up (note-taking for classes) | reddit.com/r/emacs | 2021-02-16
Because I started my program a while ago (and I'm now well past the coursework phase), there were some packages that hadn't yet been developed (or were in their infancy) but that I absolutely wish I'd had at the beginning of my program for taking notes on courses and readings: org-noter, org-roam, org-ref, and org-roam-bibtex. Since you're just starting out in a program, you might take a look at these. (I plan to implement these fully into my workflow once I get a bit more time.)

64-bit Emacs for Windows with ImageMagick 7Project mention: Emacs + MSYS2 + Windows Task Scheduler a love story untold | reddit.com/r/emacs | 2021-05-09
Me? For years I've been using Emax64 and things just work. I can see why some people may want msys2/mingw, etc, but many/most will not really benefit from it. What was your use case where plain Emax64 wouldn't work?
direnv integration for emacsProject mention: Is there a way to configure my Python interpreter to be inside a docker container like in Pycharm? | reddit.com/r/emacs | 2021-06-13
I first install direnv which allows me to have a different environment per directory, or in my case, a project. And there is a project that connects Emacs to this. https://github.com/wbolster/emacs-direnv

Integrate Emacs' auth-source with password-storeProject mention: Can I integrate pass, the password manager, into gnus so I don't have to hardcode passwords in ~/.authinfo? | reddit.com/r/emacs | 2021-06-21
First, configure auth-source-pass, which adds the password-store backend to the auth-sources variable. It was included in emacs 26, so an easy way to configure it is through use-package:
Search and read stackoverflow and its sisters’ sitesProject mention: [ANN] reddigg: browse reddit in emacs org-mode. | reddit.com/r/emacs | 2021-02-21
However I found org-mode is great for content presentation. For the web we have html, for emacs we have org-mode. Org-mode is great for reading and fast for navigation. Creating org-mode based solutions feels just like creating a web app. I can also embed elisp commands to org-mode to handle click/enter events or whatever. And since it is just org-mode I can save the buffer to a normal org file or I can invoke reddigg links/commands from any org buffer too. Beside reddigg I have a similar one for stackoverflow (https://github.com/thanhvg/emacs-howdoyou) and one for hackernews (https://github.com/thanhvg/emacs-hnreader) that I'm using everyday. These packages all use org-mode as the view layer.

Check and transform Lisp code with Comby (beta)Project mention: TIL sort is destructive | reddit.com/r/Common_Lisp | 2021-04-23
This kind of stuff should be checked by static analysis tools. I added a rule in colisper (Comby underneath) to check that sort is followed by copy-seq. (best case right now, it doesn't match global vars with earmuffs). I looked at the lisp-critic, it has no check for sort but is a good candidate.
